Position: Youth Residential Tech
Location: Belle Mead, NJ
Duration: 2 Months

Job Summary:

The Youth Residential Tech will be responsible for providing technical support and maintenance to a residential facility for youth. They will ensure that all technology and equipment are functioning properly, and provide assistance to staff and residents as needed. The Youth Residential Tech will also be responsible for maintaining inventory of equipment and supplies, and coordinating with outside vendors for repairs and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support and maintenance to all technology and equipment in the residential facility.
• Assist staff and residents with technology-related issues and provide training as needed.
• Maintain an inventory of equipment and supplies, and ensure that all equipment is properly labeled and tracked.
• Coordinate with outside vendors for repairs and maintenance, and ensure that all work is completed in a timely manner.
• Install and configure new equipment and software as needed.
• Ensure that all technology is up-to-date with the latest security patches and updates.
• Troubleshoot network and connectivity issues.
• Assist with the implementation of new technology initiatives.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in a technical support role.
• Experience working with youth in a residential setting is preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to climb ladders and work in tight spaces.
• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods of time.
• Ability to use a computer for extended periods of time.

Working Conditions:

The Youth Residential Tech will work in a residential facility for youth, and will be required to interact with staff and residents on a daily basis. They may be required to work weekends and holidays, and may be required to be on-call for emergencies outside of regular business hours. The work environment may be fast-paced and demanding, and may require the ability to work under pressure.
