Overview:

Spring River Mental Health & Wellness, Inc. is a Community Mental Health Center located in Riverton, KS. We are currently hiring individuals that have a passion for making a difference in the lives of children. This is a part-time position working with children in a mental health group setting called “Pathfinders”.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Working with children within a therapeutic group setting to assist them in social skill development through the utilization of a positive behavior support system to assist in progress towards their treatment goals.

2. Serve as a positive role model and mentor for children.

3. Assist in the delivery of scheduled group activities.

4. Complete service notes in the electronic health record in accordance with SRMHW policy and procedure.

5. Demonstrate and promote positive, professional working relationships with youth and co-workers.

6. Transportation of clients to and from services in a company vehicle.

7. Actively participate and encourage pro-social behavior and skill development while engaging youth in various activities such as outdoor games, arts & crafts, various social skill & teambuilding exercises.

Minimum Job Qualifications:

Applicants must be at least 18 years old with a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent. Applicants must be able to successfully complete pre-employment background checks, motor vehicle record check for insurability, and drug screening required.

Approximate Hours during hte school year:

Pathfinders After School program: Monday - Friday 2:30pm - 7:00 pm

Explorers Therapeutic Preschool: Monday - Thursday 7:30 am - 1:00 pm
