Progress Pushers is immediately hiring individuals who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of at-risk youth in underserved, minority communities.

Progress Pushers helps youth and young adults navigate systems and address trauma to remove barriers that intersect with their ability to fully live their lives.

Position: Youth & Young Adult Program Navigator
Location: Renton, WA
Pay: $22 - $24/hr (DOE)
Schedule: Monday - Friday, Flexible hours based on program needs

Youth & Young Adult Program Navigator Position Summary:
The Program Navigator provides group mentorship, 1:1 support, and hosts workshops and events that strengthen the ability of youth and young adults involved in the legal system to contribute to their communities in an innovative, resilient, creative, and positive way. As a Program Navigator, you coordinate and attend activities or field trips, skill-building workshops, and celebrations, connect participants to targeted programming, services, and resources that help them reach their goals and development milestones, develop relationships with and work in collaboration with local systems (i.e. Department of Corrections-DOC, probation, prosecutors and pubic defense, juvenile rehabilitation, schools, etc., among many other things.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

• Direct experience in working with “at-risk” young adults between the ages of 18 - 24 is preferred
• Direct experience working with diverse populations (language, culture, race, physical ability, sexual orientation, etc.)
• Strong and engaging verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently, multi-task, and set priorities
• Demonstrates cultural competency and sensitivity to the needs of youth and young adults with multiple challenges
• Ability to exercise independent judgment and make decisions based upon the analysis of unique individual factors
• Ability to maintain privacy and confidentiality
• Non-profit experience is strongly preferred
• Willingness and ability to maintain a flexible work schedule when necessary
