About the Job:

• Maintain compliance with all safety, security, regulatory, and company policies related to the operation of a powered industrial truck.
• Comprehend all related work instructions and SOP manuals in order to train other team members.
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe work space and report any unsafe working conditions, including equipment safety concerns, to the Inventory Manager.
• Operate a forklift and/or overhead crane according to safety guidelines, conduct regular inspections and perform equipment maintenance as needed.
• Conduct warehouse operational procedures, including picking shipment orders, sorting and staging product properly, and loading/unloading activities of product according to instructions, check sheets and SOP manuals.
• Work with other team members and supervisors to ensure proper movement of all products and help to produce the highest quality of finished product.
• Follow all material handling policies and procedures ensuring material is stored efficiently to support production activities.
• Prepare all necessary records for shipments (i.e. bar code labels, bill of ladings) per customer specifications in MIS system.
• Coordinate truck schedule, ensuring the accuracy of trucks being used, material loaded, and trucks departure time, as well as, verifying the weight on the trucks matches the weight on the releases.
• Maintain a high level of professionalism while communicating with outside personnel.
• Other duties as assigned.

What does it take to be a Shipping/Receiving Associate for the Diez Group?

Below are the minimum qualifications for Shipping/Receiving Associates.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years of experience operating a Forklift/Hilo and/or overhead crane.
• 1+ years of experience in the manufacturing industry.
• Hold an OSHA forklift and/or crane certification or have the ability to pass all necessary certification tests.
• 1+ years of experience in a shipping & receiving experience within the manufacturing industry preferred.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and basic knowledge of arithmetic.
• Self-motivated, self-directed and have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Capable of handling multiple activities at the same time.
• Ability to work as part of a team and collaborate effectively.
• Ability to repeatedly lift heavy objects, walk and stand for long periods of time and perform strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions.
• Flexible with working overtime as needed.
• Must adhere to all company policies, including attendance.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.61 - $20.21 per hour
