The Strategic Account Executive is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with major clients to ensure their long-term success and satisfaction. This role will be tasked with managing a portfolio of accounts and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve account growth targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Create strategic accounts plans and lead business development, sales, and overall client relationships.
- Conduct regular account reviews to assess clients’ needs and identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling
- Develop account-specific strategies to achieve growth targets and maintain client satisfaction
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders within client organizations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and deliver customized solutions and proposals to clients
- Monitor market trends and competitors to identify potential business opportunities
- Maintain accurate records of account activity and progress in Salesforce
- Act as a liaison between clients and internal teams to ensure timely resolution of issues and concerns
- Monitor sales performance metrics.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and forecasts.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending industry workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, sales or account management, preferably in a technology or software company
- Proven ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders
- Proven ability to articulate the distinct aspects of products and services.
- Proven ability to position products against competitors.
- Proven ability to communicate, present and influence all levels of the organization.
- Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close.
- Hands on experience with CRM software and Account management systems, specifically Salesforce.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-focused mindset
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team-oriented environment
- Willingness to travel as required to meet with clients (up to 25%)
