MG Security Services is seeking an Account Manager for our multi-faceted security services company. An Account Manager is directly involved in the day-to-day oversight and management of contract security portfolio of diverse clients located throughout the New York City metropolitan area.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Provide a professional level of service to meet and exceed client expectations and contractual obligations.
· Maintain consistent communication and constant contact with clients
· Maintain access and availability to clients.
· Provide an immediate response to critical and emergency situations.
· Ensure an urgent response to client concerns and conditions requiring immediate attention.
· Ensure all MG Security Services personnel assigned to your portfolio of accounts are properly trained and instructed regarding their duties and responsibilities in accordance with contractual obligations and client expectations. Create and maintain necessary documents and reports to facilitate success.
· Effectively manage personnel assigned to your accounts with an emphasis on performance, professional appearance and behavior, accountability, dependability, and reliability.
· Monitor and develop staff performance including site supervisors through performance evaluations, training, mentoring, and progressive discipline.
· Working with the Recruitment / Hiring Manager, identify the individual personnel needs of your clients and ensure an adequate personnel resource pool is maintained to meet the changing needs of your clients and the company.
· Working with the Scheduling Unit, ensure all personnel requirements are met and properly communicated to team members. Effectively and expeditiously manage replacement personnel needs created by emergency and non-emergency situations.
· Working with the Scheduling Unit, ensure payroll is properly reviewed and verified in an expeditious manner and necessary adjustments are made.
· Manage and enforce company standards relative to overtime through proactive, effective management of personnel, schedules, and recruitment.
· Provide detailed, written reports to MG Security Services senior management and clients, as required.
· Engage with clients on a regular basis by personally conducting site visits and ensuring company standards and client expectations are being exceeded.
Qualifications and Skills
· A minimum of 2 to 3 years of managerial experience in a contract security company or law enforcement municipality
· Possess strong client / customer service experience
· Detail oriented with the ability to relentlessly follow-up
· Strong organizational skills
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
· Ability to prioritize situations
· Strong time management skills
· Ability to make decisions with limited supervision
· Work independently and as a member of a team
· Strong personnel management and staff development experience
· Ability to balance mentoring and progressive discipline
· Collaborate internally and externally throughout all levels of an organization
· Experience with Microsoft Office applications
· Experience with Valiant personnel management system is preferred
· Experience with Fire and Life Safety Director rules and regulation is a plus
· Possess a NYS Security Guard License or the ability to obtain one within 60 days of employment
· Authorized to operate a motor vehicle
The Account Manager position is a full-time, salaried, exempt position with corporate offices located in the area of Penn Station, NY and client-based responsibility located throughout the New York City metropolitan area. Salary and benefits are commensurate with experience and competitive with industry standards.
