POSITION SUMMARY:

The Managerial Accountant will provide financial accounting and reporting that analyzes costs and budgets to support informed management decision-making.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assists in preparation of the consolidated monthly management reporting package together with variances to budget, forecast and prior year.
  • Prepares and records asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account information and resolving discrepancies.
  • Gathers, analyzes, and summarizes data for financial plans, acquisition activity, new business planning, trended future requirements, government requirements, and operating forecasts.
  • Write summaries that conform to prescribed style and format.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with other functions to obtain needed information.
  • Presents recommendations to management on short- and long-term financial objectives and policies.
  • Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.
  • Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business Administration required.
  • Five years or more of related experience required.
  • Certified Public Accountant designation preferred.
