Job Title: Accountant I

Location: Hazel Park, MI

Qualifications

• 
  Minimum 2+ years’ experience in Accounting/Finance.
• Proven experience with SAP and Excel.
• Experience with financial reporting requirements.
• Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Ability to engage in direct communication with headquarters; Bilingual fluency in Korean and English (reading, speaking, and writing) is required.
• Able to work flexible hours occasionally to support the team during month-end, ad-hoc projects, etc.
• Ability to prioritize when working on multiple tasks, meet deadlines, actively communicate with all levels of the organization.
• Handle confidential information in a discreet and professional manner.

Daily Tasks:

• Perform day-to-day and monthly general accounting tasks
• Participate in the inventory management initiatives and activities for monthly inventory counts.
• Guide other departments by researching and interpreting accounting policy and applying observations and recommendations to operational issues.
• Assist and monitor initiatives within the finance organization maintaining financial security by adhering to internal controls.
• Coordinate day to day accounts payable duties, collaborating with cross functional members within the organization.
• Perform leased asset registration in the accounting system and ensure its accuracy and completeness
• Accomplish accounting and organization mission by completing special projects as needed.
• Reconcile and analyze data to ensure completion and accuracy of key financial information.
• Perform monthly financial closing duties, including lease amortization reconciliation and physical inventory
• Other responsibilities as assigned.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or related fields required
