Zachry Associates is a marketing/advertising and fundraising agency located in Abilene, Texas. We are looking for a full time Accounting Assistant, with a minimum of 2 years experience, to perform daily accounting tasks as well as administrative tasks that will support our team.
This is a full-time, in office position (Not Remote)
Responsibilities
- Perform basic office tasks such as answering phones, filing, processing mail, ordering supplies, etc.
- Match purchase orders with invoices and enter into system
- Prepare bank deposits and send out daily cash report
- Communicate with clients and vendors via phone, email and in person
- Assist Account Executives, as needed, with opening jobs and creating purchase orders
- Invoice clients
- Reconcile monthly bank and credit card statements
- Mail monthly accounts receivable statements
- Perform monthly job closing tasks
- Other duties as assigned
Skills
- Proficient in QuickBooks, MS Office Suite with emphasis on Excel and Word
- Knowledge of basic bookkeeping procedures
- Ability to multi-task
- Good math skills and the ability to spot numerical errors
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Exceptional time management, verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information
- Professional manner and strong ethical code
