Overview
Here is an opportunity to enhance your professional credentials, while living and working at a beautiful sleepaway camp. We are located on a beautiful 1250 acre campus that is host to four camp offices and computer rooms in Milford, PA. This position reports to the Chief Financial Officer and assists with accounts receivable, accounts payable, vendor relations, and a variety of other important accounting practices for a multi-million dollar operations.
This is not a "sit in one place all day" office job. You will also live in a cabin with campers and other staff and have shared responsibility for care and safety of campers in that bunk. Ideally we would like you to start in early June and continue working to Labor Day, but we have flexibility on the start and end dates.

Qualifications & Desired Skills:
NJY is looking for someone with an academic focus and/or professional experience in accounting/bookkeeping.
Windows computing, spreadsheet development, and an ability to juggle multiple duties at once are important. An understanding of common accounting practices is essential.

Responsibilities:

• Accounts Receivable entries, adjustments and reconciliations as directed
• Accounts Payable entries, adjustments and reconciliations as directed
• Communicate with vendors and parents as needed to support
• Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions
• Staff Check-in
• Reconcile soda machines
• Reconcile packing purchase orders/invoices/packing lists
• Assist campers and staff at counter window
• Assist Camp Directors with petty cash needs as requested
• Assist Main Office as needed
• Assist with filing/mailings/paperwork
• Any other duties as required by Supervisor

Compensation
Approx. $2,500-$3,500 depending on the start and end date.
