We re seeking an Accounting Clerk with similar values, who can put his or her interests and expertise to work. This is a critical position with an opportunity to create a significant impact within our team. Starting salary for this position is $50,000-$75,000.
In this role, you will report to the Accounting Manager while working with others throughout the organization to support all aspects of payroll.
Accounting Clerk Functions:
Payroll
- Accurate and timely processing of weekly payroll and subsistence
- Run reports and verify data for accuracy of payroll
- Complete certified payrolls
Credit Card Expense Reconciliation
- Processing weekly expense payment for employee credit cards
- Accurate expense reporting at the transaction level
- Maintain accurate cardholder accounts
Other Duties
- Assist and back up team members as needed
- Support additional projects as assigned by Accounting Manager
Skills necessary for success in this role:
- Bachelor's or equivalent experience preferred
- Previous payroll experience preferred
- Detailed working knowledge of payroll and expense reporting a plus
- Strong administrative skills, including attention to detail and accuracy, strong problem-solving abilities, and above-average clerical speed and accuracy
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize responsibilities
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to communicate with employees regarding their issues and concerns
- Confidentiality and respect for privacy
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel
- Familiarity with and/or ability to learn the technical functions of conventional enterprise software systems
