A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN ACCOUNTING CLERK

In this bookkeeping position, you are crucial to the continued success of our company. Each day, you arrive at the office ready to complete a variety of bookkeeping and accounting tasks. Highly organized, you record and verify all company transactions as well as efficiently bring the books to the trial balance stage. With exceptional accuracy, you also complete all company tax forms. As you complete your work, you make sure everything complies with all relevant laws and policies. You take great pride in coordinating our financial matters and helping our company run smoothly!

QUALIFICATIONS FOR AN ACCOUNTING CLERK

• Experience as a bookkeeper OR in a similar financial position
• Understanding of the generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
• Knowledge about general finance ledgers
• Ability to use spreadsheets, Microsoft Excel, and basic accounting systems
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills
