Role: Accounting Manager

Location: Savannah, GA. On-site

(Relocation assistance will be provided)

Term: Full Time

Position Summary:

Perform a variety of accounting and finance functions for the Domestic and Fertilizer divisions including daily, weekly, and monthly analysis and financial reporting.

Primary Responsibilities:

· Ensure financial statement results are prepared in accordance with GAAP

· Research, author, and help enforce technical accounting policies and procedures.

· Help prepare monthly external and internal financial reports.

· Help with SAP monthly closing process, as well as period end analytical review procedures.

· Assist with external and internal audits as needed.

· Assist with financial analysis and budget reviews – weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annually.

· Assist with SAP general ledger configuration as needed for financial reporting.

· Ensure internal control policies and procedures are adhered to by the organization.

· Perform quarterly inventory analysis of company financial accounting reserves as assigned.

· Assist with preparation of weekly profit estimates as needed.

· Assist in the preparation of the annual operating expense and capital plan budgets as needed.

· Lead projects to implement and/or automate accounting back-office functions as assigned.

· Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills, Experience and Education:

· Experience with a large CPA audit firm preferred.

· Must have good working knowledge of US GAAP. IFRS experience helpful.

· Advanced Excel computer skills required. Ability to write macros helpful.

· Experience in writing reports using an ERP business analytics tool helpful.

· Experience with SAP, SAP ByDesign, Oracle or other ERP preferred. One Stream or Essbase experience also a plus.

· Demonstrated ability to understand complex financial data and consolidate into meaningful information in simplified formats.

· Strong work ethic, dependable, comfortable meeting deadlines.

· Strong communication skills – verbal and written.

· CPA required

· Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting or Finance, MBA preferred.

· International experience and/or Spanish fluency helpful with working with international locations.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $100,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
