JOB OVERVIEW:
This Accounting Supervisor will support the Accounting manager and controller. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic and flexible, with strong account reconciliation and customer service skills. Candidates should be able to think both creatively and analytically as we are continuously looking to improve processes, cycle time, accuracy, attention to detail and above all, customer focus. The Accounting Supervisor is responsible for a variety of internal and external customer support issues, including the billing, AR, journal entries, reconciliations and other activities. The position works closely with other functions, including General Accounting, Insurance, and Operations.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Oversees the accounting of the billing/AR/revenue department.
  • Ensure billing/AR department has the tools and support necessary to invoicing in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Deescalate billing issues and resolve in a timely manner with a customer service mindset
  • Plan and oversee day-to-day work activities and job performance for revenue/billing/collections
  • Take full ownership of revenue account reconciliations, including AR Aging and Bad Debt
  • Analyzes trends impacting collection and accounts receivable and take appropriate action to realign staff and revise policies and procedures.
  • Assesses and recommend quality improvement initiatives related to billing/collections processes.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree business administration in Accounting – Required.
  • Deep understanding of revenue cycle.
  • 2 years supervisory or management experience - Required
  • Prior experience with In-home and Private healthcare billing is a PLUS

Required Skills:

  • Ability to conceptualize workflow, develop plans, and implement appropriate actions
  • Ability to anticipate work needs and interact professionally with customers
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Ability to positively motivate team, helping with other related tasks as required
  • Strong written & verbal skills required
  • Strong Customer Service skills required

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
