Robert Half is actively seeking a long-term contract / temporary Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk to become an integral part of a high performing team at a growing company. Serving as the Accounts Payable Clerk, you will match, batch, and code invoices, resolve A/P issues, process expense reports, update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L, and process checks. This is a superb role and you will have the opportunity for career growth and advancement within this dynamic department. Based out of the Linthicum, Maryland area, the Accounts Payable Clerk will be a long-term contract / temporary opening.

What you get to do every day

• Carry out daily processes and controls accurately and on time, and ensure compliance with company policies
• Provide internal and external audit assistance as required
• Provide customer service to internal business partners
• Assist the AP/Finance Department with administrative tasks
• Verify, log and mail checks, including expediting special handling
• Perform special projects as assigned
• Organize, register, scan, and file invoices, checks, and other documents
• Open, sort, and distribute daily department mail
• Manage full-cycle A/P
• Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds
• High attention to detail
• AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
• 2+ years of experience in an A/P role preferred
• Accounts Payable (AP) experience
• Experience with Reconcile Vendor Statements
• Account Reconciliation experience
• Data entry experience
• Adeptness in Invoice processing
• Expertise in Microsoft Excel
