Come join our expanding real estate accounting team! Our portfolio consists of over 8 million square feet of industrial and commercial buildings. Our Team aids in property acquisitions, disposals, estate planning, construction, and tenant relationships. As an Accounts Receivable Specialist in our Real Estate department, you will report to the Real Estate Senior Manager and will be responsible for billings and receipt application for our sizable commercial and developmental real estate portfolio.
This position will be based at our HQ Office in West Los Angeles and working a hybrid schedule with 3 days per week in the office.
- Execute monthly billings to all tenants in the portfolio through our real estate management software, Yardi.
- Analyze tenant charges for accuracy and completeness and ensure all tenant billings are compliant with each lease’s specific provisions.
- Communicate with tenants regarding cash applications to their accounts and proactively manage and resolve payment variances with tenants.
- Reconcile bank accounts with Yardi software monthly.
- Liaise with Property Management personnel on late tenant payments and other tenant related issues.
- Reconcile and investigate accounts receivable and revenue accounts to ensure all billings are reflected accurately on financial statements.
- Perform monthly close activities such as posting journal entries, preparing account reconciliations, and preparing and analyzing variance reports for a subset of the portfolio.
- Assist with special projects of a financial nature upon request.
- 2-5 years of real Estate billing and receipt application experience
- Real Estate accounting strongly desired (property management and/or construction)
- Yardi Voyager experience a plus
- Self-starter and detail oriented
- Professional written and spoken communication with tenants and with internal teams
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Suite with emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint
- Able to perform in a fast-paced environment which requires multi-tasking and organization
- Must possess a personal sense of urgency and superior teamwork skills
- Experience working with multiple reporting units and lines of business required
- Must possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- COVID vaccination will be required for this position unless candidate has a legally valid exemption
Pay Range: $28.00-33.65 per hour. Final compensation will be dependent upon skills & experience.
