Position Title: Life Enrichment Specialist

Job Type: Full-Time

eliseo is seeking an UPBEAT, detail oriented and creative self-starter with a genuine ‘servants heart’ who possesses a full understanding of and sensitivity for the elderly. Must have previous MDS experience, with excellent communication skills for this full time position with The Life Enrichment Department.

Position Summary:
Responsibilities include MDS implementation (via Point Click Care), activity program facilitation which meet the needs and interests for the physical, mental and psychosocial well-being of each resident and willing to act as driver as needed.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience with MDS implementation
• Minimum 2 years Social or Recreational Program experience
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Current WA State Driver's License
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Job Duties:

• Assesses, develops, and carries out a therapeutic activity program for individuals and groups.
• Delivers a program of scheduled activities as assigned, to include reality orientation, sensory stimulation, exercise classes, adaptive crafts, and pet therapy.
• Assists with resident outings, special programs and events as assigned.
• Maintains documentation required by State and Federal regulations.
• Develops assessments and written care plans to promote non-pharmacological interventions and activity programs.
• Provides support for in-house pet care.
• Contributes to the maintenance and storage of Life Enrichment supplies used in programming.

Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour

• Tacoma, WA: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

• Social / Recreational Program: 1 year (Preferred)
