SUMMARY

Responsible for the execution of HKS’s Mission, goals and objectives through the provision of administrative assistance, interpreting, and support service provider assistance which will include providing visual and environmental information and some interpreting/communication support for the Older Adult Specialist.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


  • Conducts web searches and organizes information to support programmatic initiatives.
  • Provides administrative support to Older Adult Specialist including managing calendars, typing notes, communication support and data entry.
  • Handles administrative detail for events including participant registration for on-site and on-line events and phone and email support.
  • Manages evaluation data for specific projects including inputting data, maintaining software and developing reports. (online surveys, databases, etc.)
  • Sets up and manages technology for online meetings and events (i.e., Zoom videoconferencing).
  • Assists in developing accessible materials to support outreach and training initiatives.
  • Supports the marketing and communication related to events including social media posting, development of flyers and other materials.
  • Develops and maintains financial files and records including departmental and other expenses, billings, purchase orders, invoices and receipts for staff and others such as consultants, seminar, workshop and/or conference participants.
  • Provides the Older Adult Specialist with visual and environmental information as needed.
  • Accompanies the Older Adult Specialist when traveling is required and provides human guide support as needed
  • Provides support when conducting online and onsite programs


Responsible for other duties as may be assigned or requested by his/her immediate supervisor and/or the Director of the Department.


REQUIRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Associates Degree in related field required. Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred.
  • Experience using web-based media, including social media platforms such as YouTube, Facebook, LinkedIn and Vimeo.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills. Demonstrated commitment to completion of projects in a timely manner.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license
  • Strong writing skills
  • ASL Fluency


PREFERRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience working with people who are DeafBlind or those with disabilities is preferred.
