Clallam Bay Corrections Center
Full Time – Permanent


The Department of Corrections is seeking a highly motivated and qualified individual for the position of Administrative Assistant 3 at Clallam Bay Corrections Center.

Clallam Bay Corrections Center is a 900 bed male facility located on the point of the Olympic Peninsula. It is 50 miles west of Port Angeles and looks out over the Strait of Juan de Fuca at Vancouver Island. This facility houses medium and close custody offenders. CBCC also operates a Restrictive Housing Unit.

Duties

This position provides administrative support to the Roster Office and Shift Commanders on all three shifts at Clallam Bay Corrections Center.

Duties include, but are not limited to:


  • Input daily roster changes into the ATLAS program.
  • Preschedule custody overtime in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
  • Coordinate and schedule on-call Officers.
  • Provide Shift Lieutenants with the information and resources available.
  • Provide clerical support to all Shift Lieutenants.
  • Complete monthly Post Order Audit and create letters for the Captain's office.
  • Order and maintain staff overtime meals.
  • Submit completed daily roster reports to Payroll and the Roster Manager.

Qualifications
Required:
High School graduation or GED
AND
Three years of progressively responsible experience in office/clerical, secretarial, bookkeeping, accounting, or general administrative work.*

  • Formal education will substitute year for year for experience.

Desired:
Typing accurately at a net speed of 50 words per minute or faster.
