Job description
The Administrative Assistant I serves as the Design Review Board (DRB) Secretary. They work with the DRB Chair to develop and generate meeting agendas and attends meetings in person and virtually to produce meeting minutes. Additionally, the Administrative Assistant I contacts applicants to notify them when their item will go before the Board and communicates with County Planners on scheduling items and to update them on meeting proceedings prior to minutes being published.
The schedule is currently as follows:
a. Tamalpais Design Review Board-1st and 3rd Wednesdays of the month, at 7:00pm
b. Kentfield Planning Advisory Board-2nd and 4 th Wednesdays of the month, at 7:00pm
c. Strawberry Design Review Board-1st and 3rd Mondays of the month, at 7:30pm
The total number of hours per month is approximately 20, but could vary if meetings are cancelled.
Work is currently remote and is expected to require a combination of in-person and remote attendance starting mid-fall.
The position entails local travel to different sites to post meeting agendas within the County.
Individuals must have reliable WiFi access. Familiarity with MS Word and email applications (e.g. MS Outlook, Gmail, etc.) is required;
The minimum qualifications are: Typically, the equivalent to one year of increasingly responsible administrative support experience relieving managers, supervisors or program administrators of clerical and administrative duties; or three years of increasingly responsible clerical experience.

Testing and Eligible List: Depending on the number of qualified applications received, the examination may consist of a highly qualified review, application screening, online assessment, written examination, oral examination, performance examination, or any combination to determine which candidates' names will be placed on the eligible list.
