Job description

Alex Hanna Law, PA is currently seeking a Family Law Paralegal/Legal Assistant to join our team of professionals in Miami, FL.

Job Summary: This position is primarily responsible for assisting attorneys in preparing for various court actions in all aspects of Family Law.

Job Responsibilities

  • Prepares and draft motions, pleadings, judgments, statements, documents, and other correspondence (e.g., debt and asset lists, witness affidavits, child support worksheets, responsive pleadings, etc.)
  • Performs legal research.
  • Maintains attorney calendars and case files.
  • Schedules appointments, court appearances, and mediation/deposition hearings.
  • Serves as a liaison between the client and attorney, conducting client interviews.
  • Tracks dates and deadlines for responses to petitions/counter petitions and discovery request.
  • Prepares trial notebooks and providing assistance in trial settings
  • Prepares and reviews discovery packages, including disclosure statements, answers to interrogatories, and production requests.
  • Maintains effective communication with clients

Requirements:

Education and experience

  • Minimum 1 (+) years of experience.

Skills and Abilities

  • Spanish is a MUST
