- Greet visitors and guests and direct to appropriate area or person.
- Answer main phone line, screen calls and direct to appropriate area or person.
- Serve as liaison to faculty, staff, students, outside agencies and the public concerning information or questions.
- Communicate events/activities/initiatives/requested services information to participants in a warm, welcoming and professional manner regarding meetings and events, as well set up and clear conference rooms after events.
- Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
- Use appropriate resources and follow an issue through to resolution.
- Prioritizes workload to meet work unit operations.
- Maintain general office appearance.
- Receive, stamp, and distribute incoming mail, and send outgoing mail.
- Monitor, track, and schedule room reservations for conference rooms within the area, parking reservations, and golf cart calendar.
- Responsible for inventory and ordering of office supplies.
- Work with Information Technology Support Analyst, Senior to ensure all technology needs for staff are met, conference room audio/visual equipment, and day to day operations.
- Operate and assist others with office equipment, including copiers.
- Assist staff with general clerical needs.
- Work independently and collaboratively to complete tasks.
- Update contact lists.
- Provide occasional backup for administrative personnel.
- Assist with additional administrative projects and duties as needed.
- Participates and assists in special projects as directed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Skill in the operation of a variety of office machines including, personal computers, telephones and copiers.
- Ability to effectively communicate.
- High school diploma or equivalent, or equivalent learning attained through experience required.
- Prior work experience not required.
