The Opportunity

As a Pension Administration Specialist you will be the liaison between new business and in-force administration by maintaining and enhancing relationships with new & existing clients and partnering with internal stakeholders (Transition Managers, Data Team, and Operations, Call center) to ensure smooth transition post-installation as well as ongoing support of participants.

The Team

The Pension Risk Transfer Operations Team provides ongoing administration of pension plans and services the annuitants within that book of business.

The Impact

We are looking for an experienced candidate who can deliver business value by managing client expectations regarding service requests, resolve service, processing and administrative issues, deliverables and time frames.

The Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Responsible for the ongoing relationship with the Contract holder post install

  • Point person for Call Center for issue resolution

  • Review & Research for annuitant updates and handle communications

  • Partner with internal teams for new installations to understand contract provisions

  • Ensure post install updates are done timely

  • Partner with Operation team members to provide clarity and answer questions on contract provisions

  • Monthly & Quarterly reporting deliverables

The MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associate's Degree

  • At least 2+ years' experience in financial services or insurance

  • At least 2+ years experience working with clients/customers

  • Must be able to navigate Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, SharePoint, Teams)

The IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience working with Pension/Retirement Plans

  • Experience with and understanding contract provisions

  • Undergraduate degree

  • Ability to work quickly and independently with attention to detail and sensitivity to deadlines

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to comprehend contract language

  • Extremely organized, detail-oriented individual who is capable of self-managing and multi-tasking in a fast-paced, demanding environment

  • Proven ability to collaborate within team and cross-functionally and influence outcomes

  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing business priorities and a strong work ethic

  • Applies product knowledge and critical thinking skills to handle problems independently but seeks guidance in highly complex situations

  • Must be able to navigate Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, SharePoint, Teams)

Position Location - Springfield, MA

  • You will be required to work 3 days per week from our Springfield, MA office
