Job description

The primary role of the Placement Coordinator is to help students in finding the best employment opportunities upon completing CDL training at our Indianapolis, IN truck driving school. In addition, this person will be responsible for administrative duties on the campus level. Excellent communication, organizational and computer skills are a must for this position.

Responsibilities

• Meet with students upon completing the first week of CDL training to make an introduction and help determine the type of driving position which is desired (Local/Regional/OTR, etc.)
• Respond to businesses seeking drivers/graduates from C1, and keep log of contact person, type of job offered, position information, pay, qualifications, etc.
• Based on type of job desired, communicate with graduates’ appropriate job openings/links to offer guidance through the application process
• Provide and/or seek information of current and former graduates to discover where they are working, estimated weekly/annual income and record on/in placement roster
• Work in conjunction with field recruiters to coordinate campus visits, provide missing information required for hire (human link from student to company)
• Perform administrative functions to help keep the campus operations running smoothly
• Complete monthly placement reporting for outside funding requirements

Requirements

• Previous placement job experience a plus
• Strong communication and computer skills
• Positive attitude and team player approach
• Proven administrative skills
• Excellent problem solving, organizational, interpersonal and motivational skills

Compensation & Benefits
The Placement Coordinator is a full-time position with a benefits plan that includes health insurance, dental, vision, paid time off, and a 401k with company match.
