Job Summary:

The Admissions Processor will provide customer service and support for all stages of application processing which would include reviewing and processing admission applications for completion, data entry, document management, reviewing official transcripts, computing and inputting GPA’s, processing transfer equivalencies, and inputting test scores. The position will follow documented application requirements and established policies and procedures to effectively process applications.

Essential Functions:

  • Process, monitor and maintain admission applications from beginning to end
  • Responsible for recruit and application data entry
  • Process and maintain transfer equivalencies, application decisions, various calculations, and student records
  • Prepare and mail appropriate correspondence to applicants
  • Assist students, parents, staff, and faculty on the telephone, online, and in person
  • Provide information and complete transactions as necessary
  • Interpret regulations and procedures and respond appropriately
  • Use information provided by computerized reporting to monitor and maintain the quality and accuracy of data
  • Work with multiple data systems in the test and production environments
  • Supervise student employees
  • Other related duties as assigned

Non-Essential Functions:

  • Serve on the Customer Service Panel on a rotating basis
  • Assist the Office of the Registrar during high demand times

Required Qualifications:

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Minimum of three years of relevant work experience
  • Experience with various computer software applications such as Microsoft Office and/or equivalent
  • Demonstrated experience to successfully operate office equipment
  • Data entry experience
  • Typing and spelling competency with grammar and proofreading skills
  • Possess strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated experience to successfully provide quality customer service
  • Demonstrated experience to successfully work independently, organize own work, and coordinate work activities of others
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Demonstrated experience to successfully maintain satisfactory work performance and attendance records
  • Ability to successfully maintain positive intercultural and interpersonal relationships

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Some college course work
  • Higher education experience
  • Supervisory experience
  • Experience with a CRM System (Customer Relationship Management System), such as Slate

Supervision Received:

Receives general instruction from a designated supervisor but is generally expected to work independently.

Supervision Exercised:

Hire, train, supervise, schedule, and coordinate the work of student employees and may act as lead worker to other PSS staff members within the department/unit/division.

Salary: C-3 Level. Minimum starting salary of $18.40 per hour
