Annual Salary
- $43,968.62 + Full State Employee Benefits.
Applicants who possess a Master's Degree in Social Work will be entitled to a salary incentive of an additional 5%.
On-call positions will receive an additional bonus ranging from $100 to $150 every two weeks, depending on responsibilities.
Previous Employees who are able to assume a caseload upon rehire date are entitled to a $1,000 bonus at sign-on and another $2,500 at the completion of one year of employment.
An employee from other OKDHS divisions is not eligible.
Minimum Qualifications
Child Welfare Specialist, Level II - To qualify, the applicant must have a master's degree, OR a bachelor's degree, and one year of professional social work experience.

Job Duties
- Complete the Child Welfare Core Academy Training Program
Post Adoption Services assists Adoptive Families with needed social services, and medical and financial support to care for children who meet special needs criteria.
Manages a specialized caseload assisting with post-adoption services in order to support safe and permanent adoptive families for children with special needs.
Process Adoption Assistance Annual Reviews. Audit and correct weekly reports and finance rejection claims. Process approved adoption assistance agreements, adoption finalization packets, and modifications.
Other Duties as Assigned
- Ability to work on a diverse team and directly with people from diverse backgrounds specifically racial, ethnic, socioeconomic, and disabilities.
Travel is Occasional - Must possess a valid driver's license and must maintain required car insurance. State vehicles will be available for use to carry out the duties of the position, or mileage reimbursement if personal vehicles are used.
