Aesthetics Training and Development Manager
The Aesthetics Training and Development Manager is a new role at ADCS. Accountable for developing the Aesthetics capabilities of individual ADCS clinics, the Aesthetics Training and Development Manager will be a critical member of the Clinic Management team. Ideal candidates for this role are mid-career professionals who have direct experience delivering Aesthetics services and building Aesthetics practices and are now ready to share their expertise with others.
OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE
The Aesthetics Training and Development Manager is responsible for developing the capabilities of the Clinic Team to deliver Aesthetics services and drive growth of the Aesthetics business. Key responsibilities include:
  • Recruiting, hiring, assessing, and developing experienced Aestheticians who will deliver an ADCS branded aesthetics experience.
  • Coaching Location Managers so that they can effectively manage day-to-day clinic operations related to the Aesthetics service line.
  • Training front office staff on how to promote Aesthetics services to patients, how to sell cosmetic products and how to support delivery of an exceptional Aesthetics experience.
  • Training MAs on how to support development of the Aesthetics business
  • Coaching Providers (Derms and APPs) on how to optimize growth of the Aesthetics business
  • Closely coordinating these efforts with the Region Manager so that the RM and Aesthetics Manager speak with “one voice” to the clinic teams and work together to optimize the entire clinic P&L.
Clinic based Aestheticians and Cosmetic Care Consultants will report directly to the ATDM with a “dotted line” reporting relationship to the Location Manager.
Due to the intensive level of clinic staff engagement required, the ATDM will be assigned to no more than 12 clinics and will be expected to visit every assigned location at least twice each month. As a result, proximity to assigned locations is a requirement. Daily interaction with direct reports is expected.
This role is a permanent full-time position and reports directly to the Senior Director of Aesthetics Business Development.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS
This role requires a combination of specific hard skills and soft skills:

Required Hard Skills:
  • Demonstrated success working as an Aesthetician
  • Demonstrated success working as a Manager of a MedSpa or equivalent business
  • Some demonstrated training experience
  • Experience developing people – preferably in a managerial role
  • Computer literacy including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint.
Soft Skills
  • Ability to build trusted working relationships with clinicians
  • Super positive attitude – the glass is always at least half full
  • Ability to motivate and evangelize Aesthetics to other medical professionals
  • Entrepreneurial spirit – motivated by growing a business
  • Outstanding communication skills – comfortable making presentations and conducting training classes to clinicians. Excellent at keeping everyone informed of what’s happening.
  • Self-starter – demonstrates initiative and responsibility. Able to develop action plans and manage time effectively
  • Transparent/Candid: Comfortable sharing information even when the news is less than positive
  • Recognizes and respects cultural diversity
  • Confident/Comfortable in their own skin.
  • Projects a professional manner
  • Passionate about Aesthetics, Driving Business Growth, and teaching others to deliver great Customer Service
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/LICENSING
  • Certification as a professional Aesthetician
  • Demonstrated success developing an Aesthetics business both as a clinician and as a practice manager.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Aesthetics protocols and professional grade cosmetic products, e.g. Revision Skincare
  • High School diploma or equivalent
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work is regularly performed in Dermatology clinics. Local travel in personal vehicle is required which may require extended periods of sitting.
