The LOGMET LLC AFM will readily accessible, on-site who represent LOGMET LLC management. AFM shall provide AMS in order to ensure a safe, efficient and effective airfield environment for aircraft operations. The magnitude of service requirements is based on the 47 FTW’s mission of graduating the world’s best pilots, the primary and auxiliary airfields, reoccurring transient aircraft operations, and frequent distinguished visitor support. The expectation shall be timely and effective coordination, as a minimum, with airfield support agencies such as civil engineering, safety, maintenance, transportation, command and control, air traffic control and emergency response agencies, in order to support aircraft operations and correct deficiencies on the airfield. For
specific duty position responsibilities, refer to AFMAN 13-204 Volume 2, Chapter 2.2. The Airfield Manager , is responsible for the following key tasks:

• Ensure the daily, monthly, and annual inspections and checks of Laughlin AFB and the USAF leased lands at Spofford Auxiliary Airfield are conducted as required.
• Provide input, guidance and solutions at meetings concerning Laughlin’s airfield facilities and USAF leased lands at Spofford Auxiliary Airfield, air operations, and
  airfield construction projects.
• Advise the AOF/CC on airfield conditions and deficiencies which impact, or potentially impact, flying operations at Laughlin AFB or Spofford Auxiliary Airfield.
• Attend the AOF weekly staff meeting to brief the AOF/CC and COR on activities affecting both airfields and the status of open issues.
• Coordinate through the AOF/CC on all issues involving agencies above the AOF level.
• Coordinate directly with civil engineering, safety and other airfield support agencies for airfield infrastructure and facility requirements to support aircraft operations.
• Participate with other base agencies to ensure an accurate airfield waiver program is maintained.
• Coordinate on airfield waiver requests. Review airfield and airspace waivers with CE and Safety personnel annually
• Maintain copies of MAJCOM approved airfield waiver packages and other airfield related waivers.
• Review, coordinate, and maintain aircraft parking plans for compliance with planning and design criteria.
• Train and coordinate with the Laughlin AFB Fire Department personnel to train them on daily airfield checks at Spofford Auxiliary Airfield.
• Coordinate with Wing Safety on bird and wildlife control and serve as a member of the Bird Hazard Working Group (BHWG).
• Briefing AMS as required.
• Provide the OG/CC, OSS/CC and AOF/CC a recommended list of airfield construction and repair projects (including priority and justification) to brief at the Facility Utilization
  Board and Facility Working Group (FWG)
• Participate in airfield construction projects from the planning phase through project completion and do not authorize temporary airfield construction project to commence
  unless a waiver has been approved by the installation commander
• Participate in planning all activities (construction, exercises, deployments, etc.) affecting the use of the airfield environment and facilities (runways, taxiways, parking aprons,
  control tower, approach control, navigational aids, etc.)
• Develop procedures to monitor and track contractors.
• Attend construction meetings
• Actively participate in Pilot Controller Liaison program. Brief/discuss airfield-related issues with pilots during meetings
• identify, document, and report improperly installed, faded, obscured, or missing Airfield markings IAW AFMAN 32-1040, UFC 3-260-04, or applicable host-nation criteria (ICAO, NATO…etc.) and report deficiencies to CE through a work order for correction.
• identify and document airfield signs not in compliance with UFC 3- 535-01 and report deficiencies to CE through a work order.
• Ensure procedures are developed IAW governing directives and instructions (e.g. checklists, forms, NOTAMs, or electronic equivalents) to notify applicable flying and base support agencies of conditions that may impact the airfield or flying operations.
• Document and report pavement discrepancies
• Must include the COR in all operational related emails sent to other base agencies or outside LAFB.
• Complete MICT self-assessment checklists as required
