Position Description:

The Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Capability Integrator will work as a member of the PEO-MS Integrated Fires Mission Command (IFMC) Project Office System Engineering (SE) Directorate contractor team to provide support for the Army Air and Missile Defense (AMD) missions FMS system development. The IFMC PO is working with foreign militaries in developing FMS versions of tactical and non-tactical hardware and software systems. The Capability Integrator will assist the IFMC PO with setup, upgrading, debugging, and operating integrated hardware in the loop (HWIL) facilities. The candidate will use, develop, or refine tools for system operation and monitoring, data processing, and analysis. The role will support system engineering for future tactical and non-tactical FMS system development. Requires working with existing IFMC teams, as well as developing future FMS team capabilities. The majority of work will be performed in an integration lab, but testing in a live range environment is possible. This position will provide hands-on technical skills to enable development of complex system-of-systems testing and data review in all environments.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years direct experience with AMD systems, with specific system engineering or system architecting knowledge and experience with one (1) or more of the following systems:
    • IBCS, PATRIOT, THAAD, C2BMC, FAAD, LTAMDS, Sentinel, AEGIS, CEC, or equivalent.
  • Demonstratable skills and experience relevant to HWIL environments, including operation, configuration, and debugging of system simulations, IP-based network operations, data management, system analysis, or AMD sensor operations.
  • Must be able to perform system engineering work, such as integration testing, interface development, requirements verification.
  • A bachelor's degree or higher in an ABET accredited school in a STEM program (e.g. engineering, physics, mathematics, etc.) is required.
  • Strong software skills, with proficiency in data handling tools (e.g. databases, spreadsheets), scripting tools (e.g. Perl, Python), or other software languages (e.g. Java, C++) for scientific or engineering analysis.
  • Proficiency in Windows and Linux operating systems.

Other Qualifications:

  • Ideally, the successful candidate will have direct experience with hardware in the loop lab environments.
  • Good communication, enthusiasm, demonstrate independent critical thinking, handle quick-turn requests, and possess good interpersonal skills is desired.
  • Experience in FMS work is not a requirement but is highly desired.
  • Extensive background in software development and system analysis may be substituted for limitations in above requirements.
  • Some travel will occasionally be required in support of on-site activities of live and HWIL testing. Current travel will be limited to the continental US, but foreign travel is a possibility.
