The IFMC PO is working with foreign militaries in developing FMS versions of tactical and non-tactical hardware and software systems. Systems architecting is required to ensure mission success. The position requires working with existing IFMC teams, as well as developing future FMS team capabilities. This role will provide senior-level guidance regarding architectures, hardware engineering, integrated system testing, and system requirements, with an emphasis on hardware in the loop (HWIL) testing. The position requires development of briefings and documentation such as test plans, test network architectures, analysis of alternatives, reports, and technical briefings for IFMC SE leadership and foreign partners.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Technical acumen in AMD systems and concepts is required.
  • 10+ years of direct experience with AMD systems is required, with specific system engineering or system architecting knowledge and experience with one (1) or more of the following systems:
    • IBCS, PATRIOT, THAAD, C2BMC, FAAD, LTAMDS, Sentinel, AEGIS, CEC, or equivalent.
  • The candidate must have demonstratable skills and experience in system hardware architectures, integration testing, interface development, requirements verification, HWIL test design, IP networking, or other system-of-systems hardware design.
  • Experience analyzing and verifying requirements along with the capability of translating requirements into testable event objectives.
  • A bachelor's degree or higher in an ABET accredited school in a STEM program (e.g. engineering, physics, mathematics, etc).
  • It is strongly recommended that the candidate have demonstratable software skills, such as use of spreadsheets, databases, scripting languages, or data parsing tools.
  • Proficiency in Linux OS is required.
  • Some travel will occasionally be required in support of on-site activities of live and HWIL testing. Current travel will be limited to the continental US, but foreign travel is a possibility.

Other Qualifications:

  • The ideal candidate will have direct experience with hardware in the loop (HWIL) lab environments.
  • Candidate must be a good communicator, and should show enthusiasm, independent critical thinking, and good interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with Host Nation/Foreign Technical and managerial staff and command-level officers is beneficial, but experience in FMS work is not a requirement.
  • Candidate must have the ability to respond to quick turn requests.
  • An extensive background in software development and system analysis may be substituted for limitations in above requirements.

Security Requirements:
