Job description
- Perform inspections of Ammonia storage and distribution piping systems, noting or correcting deficiencies as required.
- Install and maintain ammonia piping, valves and other process equipment at customer and locations.
- Assist Field Service Technicians with product removal and other types of field service jobs.
- Provide support to the field service team and plant operations.
- Work with customers and corporate staff to resolve problems and issues with various systems.
- Maintain proper parts inventory in service vans and warehouses.
- Document work via work orders, inspection reports and service agreements.
- Maintain a neat, clean and professional appearance.
- Maintain trucks in neat, clean and safe condition.
- Maintain site specific training records.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Ensure all safety rules are strictly observed.
- Maintain appropriate drivers’ license and safety training.
- Accurate and timely submission of documents.
- Must have TWIC or be able to acquire.

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
- Must have a strong mechanical aptitude and previous experience working with piping, valves and pumps or similar equipment.
- Previous industrial gas or petrochemical experience a plus.
- Previous ammonia experience a plus.
- Working away from home for extended periods will be required.
- Must be able to travel anywhere either by air or truck up to 100 percent of the time.
- Must be able to work overtime, weekends and holidays if necessary. Work for long periods. Must be flexible.
- Must be very proficient using cell phone, tablet, laptop and internet websites to upload and transmit documents and data.
- Ability to read and comprehend material safety data sheets and mechanical drawings.
- Ability to lift and drag hoses up to 90 lbs. required.
- Must be able to work at heights, climb stairs and ladders.
- Ability to work independently and under some pressure to meet deadlines.
- Must be able to work with a wide variety of people with different personalities and backgrounds.
- Must meet all physical qualification standards imposed by regulation for drivers and be able to meet requirements to wear and use an ammonia escape respirator.
- Must be able to operate in a drug-free workplace.
- Has Refrigerating Engineers & Technicians Association (RETA) Certified Assistant Refrigeration Operator (CARO) and Certified Industrial Refrigeration Operator (CIRO) certifications a PLUS
- attention to detail and focus on safety will be critical in these roles
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $24.50 - $27.00 per hour
