Position Overview: The Finance Department focuses on managing capital, revenues, expenses, operating funds, developing budget and forecast strategies and funding recommendations for project and program initiatives. The Analyst - FP&A will assist in the planning, maintenance, and presentation of NYCEDC’s financial position, with a specific focus on operating funds. This position provides the opportunity to work closely with all NYCEDC Departments, Senior Management and various NYCEDC partners to develop and implement the Corporation’s financial plan.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development of financial projections
- Assist in forecasting and budgeting unrestricted cash flows with the use of metrics and other monitoring tools
- Analyze funding requests from NYCEDC project managers; assist in developing funding strategies for NYCEDC initiatives; monitor approved projects
- Update internal systems with budget information; reconcile project budgets; work with project teams and Accounting Department to correct discrepancies
- Review project contracts, change orders, amendments and payments for construction, consulting, and other services; determine appropriate funding sources based on the financial plan
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics or related field
- 1-2 years’ work experience, with a focus on budgeting, forecasting, accounting and financial analysis a plus
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint and Excel
- New York City residence is required within 180 days of hire

Salary Range: $58,500 - $60,500
