Job description
The Suncoast family of companies seeks a career-minded data entry and accounting professional to join our accounting department. The ideal candidate will be a motivated self-starter who is hard-working, has strong attention to detail, and is goal oriented.
While focusing on daily payables functions through invoice entry, this individual will also protect company liability by maintaining vendor insurance compliance. Having exceptional organizational skills, critical thinking skills, intrinsic motivation, and a drive to succeed and grow will all be assets in supporting the department's daily functions.
The day-to-day tasks for this position will consist of researching and entering invoices and new vendor information into our property management system.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Assisting in monitoring and reducing aging payables
- Reviewing and updating vendor compliance data
- Contacting vendors for updated or missing documentation
Required Technical Skills:
- 5+ years with Excel
- 1+ years data entry experience
- 1+ years in an office setting
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Associate degree in business, accounting, or 2+ years relevant experience
- 2+ years data entry experience
Additional Qualifications:
- Desire to work in a highly structured and fast paced environment meeting tight deadlines
- Excellent organization and communication skills
- Keen sense of attention to detail
- Able to work independently for extended periods of time while supporting the team as needed
Work Environment: Indoor/Inside environment with temperature controls
Physical Demands: Sedentary 75-95%, sitting/stationary at desk/cubicle with the ability to move/traverse office/cubicle space and to/from office equipment and/or other office areas. Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or using a negligible amount of force infrequently to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects like parcels/paperwork. Repetitive motions/ Substantial movements of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform activities such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading. Requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards, monitors, and phone.
