General Purpose:

We are hiring an Apprentice Electrician to provide a variety of services surrounding the electric meter for Xcel Energy.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

• Driving (75%/day) and navigating throughout the Denver, CO metro area
• Entering residential and commercial property to access the electric meter to perform required work
• Installing, exchanging, and/or disconnecting electric meters as well as reading and investigation services
• Restoring power, installing meter housings, extending underground laterals, and repairing damage
• Working with energized electric equipment
• Providing customer service with responsibility and humility
• Working with pride and a high quality of workmanship

Experience:

• Two (2+) plus years of customer service experience
• Two (2+) plus years of working with electricity and on ladders preferred
• An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted on a year-to-year basis

Additional Requirement/Licenses/Certifications:

• Candidates must pass Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check and pass a pre-employment drug screen

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour
