Summit Tractors LLC is seeking an experienced compact tractor, construction or outdoor power equipment manager/technician to be our Area Service Manager (ASM) based in the Northeast Region of the United States.

Summit Tractors LLC is an Atlanta GA based distributor of Summit brand compact tractors and related attachments, implements accessories and parts. Through its unique operating model, Summit brand compact tractor equipment is sold through a range of sales channels including major farm & ranch and home improvement retailers and their e-commerce platforms and select products through its own online store. We are in a period of transition from business development to one of high growth and are building out our team with key professionals.
About This Opportunity
Position: Area Service Manager (ASM) – Compact Tractors
Location: Remote but MUST reside in either CT, NY, Eastern PA, or MA. In the performance of the responsibilities of this position, time will be split between a home office, our regional tractor assembly center located in Schenectady NY, visiting our regional independent equipment service partners and performing maintenance and repairs on Summit branded compact tractors and related equipment. A company vehicle is provided.
Overview:
Summit Tractors operates under a unique business model. We distribute our tractors through major farm & ranch supply and home improvement retailers - some of the largest and respected retailers in America. Most of these retailers do not provide parts & service support for the products they sell, though they sell them in very large numbers. In order to provide quality after-sales product support to the people that purchase Summit Tractors branded equipment, we have established a multi-layered product support program that includes fixed base tractor dealers, outdoor power equipment dealers, equipment service centers and independent mobile technicians. However, overall responsibility remains with Summit Tractors. We are seeking talented equipment servicing professionals that will be responsible for ensuring that our 3rdparty service partners are handling customer service effectively and efficiently, that area customer service requests are handled in timely manner, that can step in and perform field service as needed. Duties & Responsibilities:
- Ensure that all Summit brand customer equipment servicing needs are being met cost effectively and in a timely manner.
- Ensure that our 3rdparty equipment servicing partners have access to the technical information, guidance and service parts required to quickly diagnose and make repairs on Summit branded products as needed.
- Be available to diagnose and repair equipment located at Summit’s Terrell TX tractor assembly center if any issues are encountered during the assembly and Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) process.
- Supplement our fixed base 3rdparty service providers by providing on-site customer maintenance and warranty & non-warranty repairs as needed.
- Respond to customer and potential customer product inquiries using Salesforce CRM case management tools.
Technical Skills and Qualifications:
- 5 years agricultural, outdoor power or construction equipment servicing experience
- Proficient in the use and application of compact tractor equipment
- Experience with Salesforce CRM a plus, though not required. We will train you.
- Must be committed to excellent customer service and possess strong people skills.
- Must be an effective communicator with a can-do aggressive perspective.
- Must be committed to contributing to a friendly, positive, and collaborative teamwork environment where you receive and offer support to/from your colleagues.
Compensation:
- Annual Salary: $80k
