An Aerospace and Defense client is looking for an Assembler that will be responsible for assembling product, operating machinery, and using hand tools to manufacture parts that meet required specifications.

LOCATION: Baton Rouge, LA 70815
POSITION: Assembler

CONTRACT: 5 months or longer

PAY RATE: $15/hr.

SHIFT: 1st shift, Monday-Friday, 6:00 am – 2:30 pm

POSITION SUMMARY:

• The Assembler I position is responsible for assembling product, operating machinery, and using hand tools to manufacture parts that meet required specifications.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:

• Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprints specification and parts lists, gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
• Positions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements. Assemble components by examining connections for correct fit, fastening parts and subassemblies. Verifies specifications by measuring completed component. Resolves assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications; notifies supervisor to obtain additional resources.
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock levels. Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1-3 years of experience in role.
• Steel toe shoes required

At a minimum, a 7-year background check, education verification, employment verification, and drug screen will be conducted upon hire. Your suitability for employment is contingent upon successfully passing these required pre-employment screenings.
