Position Summary: The landscaping Maintenance Manager is a hands-on position and is responsible for managing all field operations within the division including Crews and Equipment in order to optimize service efficiency within company defined quality standards.

The landscaping Maintenance Manager must be thoroughly familiar with and able to perform all aspects of the position which includes production, profit, scheduling, customer service, training, etc. The Manager directly oversees multiple Supervisors, while interfacing with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers. The landscaping Maintenance Managermust keep the Operation Manager apprised of progress (or lack thereof) on all accounts.

Reporting Protocol: The landscaping Maintenance Manager reports to the Operations Manager.

  • Experience, Education, and Skills Required: High school diploma or equivalent required. Arizona Certified Landscape Professional preferred. At least two years previous experience in a service-related or technical field focused on quality and customer service and/or landscaping required. Excellent communication and organizational skills including read, write and verbal skills in English. Must have attention to details skills. Problem solving skills, good organizational skills, friendliness, and ability to build rapport required. Must display a positive demeanor, professionalism, and desire to please. Must enjoy working independently and in small groups. Ability to set goals, motivate team members and lead group to complete tasks. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills required. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and have a Valid Arizona driver’s license.

Position Function and Duties:

· Must complete work using safe practices including using Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as outlined in Northwest Companies’ Injury & Illness Prevention Program.

· Complete required service records, customer reports, time records, or others, in accordance with company procedure.

· Maintain compliance with all company and state/federal safety standards, regulations, equipment, and procedures.

· Inform management of any customer issues or concerns that are not completely resolved to the satisfaction of the customer.

· Manage landscape optimizations to improve efficiency

· Manage Service plan execution in the field with crews daily

· Schedule and Workload crews to optimize routing density work scope

· Organize and plan equipment packages per crew

· Ensure work performed meets company service quality standards

· Proactively communicate property issues, upcoming services, etc.to customers, and Operation Managers.

· Respond promptly to customer-generated issues and manage appropriate resolution

· Manage and direct daily dispatch

· Coordinate equipment repairs between shop and field

· Conducts weekly staff and safety meetings with crews

· Ensures all work is completed in adherence to safety policies and guidelines

· Direct and assist Supervisors daily

· Work with the Operation Manager to meet or exceed property GM budgets

· Investigates any accident or safety violation, prepares appropriate reports, takes action steps to correct and prevent future occurrences. Defines and implements solutions to reoccurring accidents or most common hazards

· Supervise employees, keeping attendance records, enforcing proper uniform and safety equipment use, and validating time for payroll
