Position Summary:

Execute and process development and sourcing for corporate brands. Responsible to assist and support all functions of the product developer. Role model and demonstrate the company’s core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety of others.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Manage development project timelines for product developer to insure projects are hitting deadlines
  • Execute Request for Information (RFI) and Request for Proposal (RFP) for development projects including all financial, sales and margin requirements
  • Recommend new program opportunities to support corporate brand opportunities
  • Prepare essential information for electronic sourcing auctions, analyze results and prepare reports for decision for award
  • Make routine judgment calls on product development execution including costing, vendor communication and color & fit approval
  • Prepare financial reports and brand category sales reports
  • Organize samples, quote sheets and project folders for import programs
  • Schedule and attend development meetings
  • Prepare essential information for electronic sourcing auctions
  • Complete industry and competition research
  • Communicate and follow up with overseas agents, manufactures and merchandise group.
  • Prepare communication for corporate brand programs and objectives
  • Complete assistant product developer development plan
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation

Minimum Position Qualifications:

  • Ability to work weekends on an occasional basis
  • Ability to organize and prioritize a variety of tasks/projects
  • Familiarity with retail industry/technical terms and processes
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability and willingness to continue education, as necessary. Proficient with Illustrator, Photoshop
  • Ability to travel independently, including internationally for sourcing appointments and to major domestic markets (<10%)

Desired Previous Job Experience:

  • BA/BS degree in product development merchandising or product project engineering.
  • 1+ years product development experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 1+ years retail assistant buyer / assistant planner experience.
