We are currently seeking an experienced full-time Assistant Strategic Account Manager with high integrity and professionalism who can join the Surefox team to develop, implement, and optimize strategies for the ongoing success of the organization. You will be utilizing discretion in initiating and setting strategic goals for the multiple client-based programs in accordance with Surefox’s strategic objectives under minimal supervision while fostering and developing client relationships to promote organic organizational growth. As the Assistant Strategic Account Manager, you must be detail-oriented and a master collaborator prepared to plan and supervise the implementation program initiatives and supervise their progress to completion.

Your primary responsibilities are to monitor and maintain the strategic direction and relationships that are critical for maintenance of the clients and employees under multiple related programs under minimal supervision from the Strategic Account Manager. The Assistant Strategic Account Manager will appraise, delegate tasks to, train, and mentor Program Manager(s), your key staff, and other direct reports to ensure the efficiency of day to day operations as well as coordinate with adjacent Assistant Strategic Account Managers, staff members, and upper level management to ensure program health. What you will do:

  • Serving as one of the account’s primary strategic leaders, responsible for successful management and execution of all relevant programs in accordance with all client and Surefox leadership directives under minimal supervision from the Strategic Account Manager
  • Maintain continual and transparent communications and relationships with all client points of contact across the entire account; highlight relational concerns to Surefox leadership when issues arise
  • Set the example while modeling good leadership, decision making, professionalism, and communication for the people within your account’s programs
  • Conduct deliberate strategic goal setting for all relevant programs according to Surefox’s strategic objectives
  • Monitor, track, and pursue excellence for all programs’ Key Performance Indicators (KPI)
  • Assist the Strategic Account Manager in devising and improving evaluation strategies to monitor program performance and identify improvement areas
  • Implement internal methods of efficiency improvement
  • Communicate all relevant program issues, statuses, and progress to upper management during Surefox coordination meetings
  • Assess and prioritize client requirements through key engagements and program manager feedback
  • Along with the Strategic Account Manager, supervise presentations of all Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), leading rehearsals for all Program Managers, and ensure QBR info is accurate, appropriate, and well-delivered
  • Aggressively pursue organic growth within the account: identify opportunities, plan and execute the development of new programs, coordinate appropriate engagements with clients and Surefox leadership, and assist in implementing strategies to seize the opportunities
  • Appraise, develop, mentor, and train your Program Managers, key staff, and other direct reports to enhance efficiency and productivity
  • Conduct cross-functional collaboration with other operational leaders and staff to address and solve higher level organizational issues and initiatives
  • Ensure operations and activities adhere to federal and state regulations as well as Surefox policies
  • Assist the Strategic Account Manager in approving the development of and supervising all relevant program budgets within the account to ensure resources are devoted to strategic objectives exercising discretion
  • Supervise appropriate administrative and logistical support to ensure quality control of services provided
  • Prepare signatory/approval authority for all Statements of Work (SOWs), Master
Services Agreements (MSA), and other legal documents associated with all programs within the account under minimal supervision of the Strategic Account Manager
  • Implement comprehensive expense and budget tracking systems to monitor and report on the financial performance of the subordinate accounts; be prepared to make recommendations on opportunities to improve financial performance of the programs.

What is required:

  • Must be eligible for employment within the United States
  • Must have a high school degree or equivalent
  • Must be able to pass an extensive background check and drug screening
  • Must be willing to occasionally travel to support Strategic Account Manager tasks (generally not to exceed 2 weeks of travel in a month)
  • 2-5 years of work experience in program management, project management, or previous Account Manager equivalent role
  • Must have exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Must be a self-starter and driven
  • Strong problem-solving skills and analytical abilities
  • Must be extremely proficient with Microsoft Office and Google Suite applications
  • Ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels and from various backgrounds
  • Display sound judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions
  • Ability to assist in supervising multiple budgets
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member
  • Ability to lead teams and provide professional mentorship at a high level
  • Fully vaccinated status related to COVID-19 as defined by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) by anticipated start date and ability to provide proof upon request
What is desired:
  • Program Management or Director experience
  • Military background is a plus
  • Experience in working with Director-level employees and above
  • 4-Year Bachelor’s Degree or Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
