This is a full-time position within Gateway Student Services.

Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Oversees daily transactions of Gateway Associates, monitoring performance and determining appropriate training needs.
- Answers students and staff members questions as it pertains to the financial aid, records and registration and financial management.
- Creates annual goals and objectives for the yearly work plan. Makes decisions to prioritize work to improve work/project performance. Assigns additional job duties based on needs of the department and consults with the director when needed.
- Works with the budget and monthly reports to ensure accurate information tracking.
- During peak processing, will perform duties of an associate on phones and at the window.
- Provide support to Director of Gateway Student Services and to the AVP of Strategic Enrollment regarding direct student communications through the Customer Relationship Management tool and/or direct phone calls to students (using appropriate software).
- Assists with retention campaigns in partnership with AVP of strategic enrollment, sending communications to students via email or phone as dictated by the director. Provide editing/review of communications, as needed.
Required Qualifications
The following qualifications are required of all applicants seeking consideration for this position. Only applicants whose resumes clearly demonstrate fulfillment of each of these minimum qualifications will be considered for the position:
A Bachelor’s degree plus four years of professional experience in financial aid, records and registration and/or student customer services; or a master’s degree plus three years of professional experience in financial aid, records and registration and/or student customer service; or an equivalent combination of post-secondary training, education and/or advanced professional experience.
- Advanced knowledge of student affairs practices and procedures
- Demonstrate experience in serving an ethnically and culturally diverse student body
- Must be able to work independently as well as a dedicated team player working with staff, student’s faculty, administrators with limited supervision
- Communication skills (written & verbal) to communicate with a variety of persons and groups
- Ability to integrate complex knowledge of multiple areas and functions to accomplish departmental objectives
- Ability to relate the work of Gateway Student Services to the broader goal of the division and the university
- Experienced in conflict resolution and dealing with difficult situations with students or staff/faculty both in person and remotely
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of and experience in the Minnesota State System of Colleges and Universities, as well as its computer software including ISRS and ARSA
- Five or more years of experience working in financial aid, records and registration and/or direct delivery student customer service
- Knowledge of and experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools
- Knowledge of and adherence to state and federal data privacy regulations
Other Requirements
Physical Requirements of the Job: Requires occasionally lifting and/or carrying such articles as file folders, ledgers, and small tools. Although a sedentary job is defined as one which involves sitting, a certain amount of walking and standing is often necessary in carrying out job duties. The position may require movement throughout building(s) to a significant degree.

Benefits Info
Salary: This is a Minnesota State University Association of Administrative and Service Faculty (MSUAASF) Range D position with a salary range of $51,978.00 (minimum) to $95,976.00(maximum). Salary is commensurate with education and experience, and is determined by the collective bargaining agreement between Minnesota State Colleges and Universities (Minnesota State) and the MSUAASF organization.
