We have a dynamic and diverse team that provides design to launch engineering and manufacturing capabilities. We design, build and test space avionic hardware and develop ground support equipment (GSE) that supports our environmental testing and integrations services. As a Project Manager, you will be involved from conceptual design through final drawings, working with various engineering disciplines and customers to track the fabrication process through delivery.

Description

This position requires directly interfacing with the Customer, Program Management, Business Management, Engineering, Manufacturing Support teams including Production, Production Control, and Quality to develop, support, and manage detailed schedules and overall production objectives and execution. This position will also represent NG at all program and customer reviews; developing and presenting status, data, metrics and charts. You will be responsible for developing mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with other project managers, line managers, and clients. This position will be located in Lanham, MD.

Roles and Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible overseeing and managing the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management. He/She will review status of projects and budgets; manage schedules and prepare status reports. You will also be assessing project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. The ideal candidate will have strong team building skills, exhibit strong leadership potential, and possess comprehensive verbal and written communication/presentation skills.

Basic Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, including Excel, Word, Project & Power Point
  • Demonstrated ability in working with cross organizational teams and customers
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance per business requirements (US citizenship required)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previously worked in a deadline driven environment.
  • Experience with cost, schedule, project leadership, and/or process improvement.
  • Experience with bases of estimates, shop order creation, and Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS).
  • Reasonable knowledge of manufacturing, inventory, production, procurement and quality basics
  • Active Secret clearance TS/SCI or able to obtain one.


Salary Range: $58,000 USD - $87,000 USD


Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
