Position Overview:
The Mechanic will perform repair work for vans and other motor vehicles in the company’s fleet.

Reports to: Fleet Shop Manager

RESPONSIBLITIES:

• The mechanic will maintain vehicles including a company’s fleet of vans and other motor vehicles.
• The mechanic will perform major repairs, such as engines and transmissions.
• Mechanics will be performing tests on specific parts and systems to ensure proper function.
• Identifies mechanical problems either visually or with computer diagnostic equipment. (Not required to own diagnostic equipment)
• Mechanic will examine critical parts and systems using a standard checklist.
• Mechanic will be required to repair or replace malfunctioning parts and systems such as brake pads, belts, water pumps, transmissions, and other mechanical parts.
• Mechanic plans and establishes timetable to complete repairs and maintenance.
• Mechanic will test drive vehicle to confirm safe and proper operation.
• MUST BE ABLE TO OBTAIN MISSOURI MOTOR VEHICLE MOTOR VHECILE LICENSE.

Mechanic will also perform other related duties as assigned.
