Auto Upholstery Technician - Trimmer

IWS Sales in Mountain Home, Idaho has an opening for an experienced Automotive Upholsterer. We are growing our Performance Division and just completed a remodel of our facility. Just like the 1,000 hp vehicles we build and sell, we wanted our new shop to have the same kind of performance. We spent the last year doing our best to build a World Class shop. All that’s missing is you! We are looking for someone who shares our passion for custom cars and has a passion for building amazing interiors. Our shop has all the best equipment and is ready to go. From our 2 new Juki sewing machines to our full wood shop, there’s not much else a person could want in a state-of-the-art Upholstery Shop. We also have production sewing for products we sell online. Our focus is restoring ‘67 to ‘79 Ford and Chevy 4x4 Pickups, Broncos, and Blazers with a small crew of six. The shop is closed to customer traffic, so we can focus on building the best vehicle we can. Job Details:

• Workdays are Mon thru Friday
• Upholstery work from simple restoration of factory seats to wild one-off custom interiors with exotic materials and cutting-edge techniques.
• Work with our body shop department to develop the best build strategy
• Fabricate head liners, door panels, and speaker enclosures.
• Fabricate automotive interiors by patterning, cutting, and sewing
• Create works of art with our new Juki sewing machines
• Operate and maintain embroidery machine
• Production sewing as needed

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 Years working in Automotive Upholstery Shop or graduate of upholstery school.
• Knowledge of sewing construction and techniques as well as pattern making
• High attention to detail and an eye for quality
• Enthusiastic and a positive ‘can-do’ attitude and desire for self-improvement
• Enjoy working in a thriving team atmosphere (we really do mean Team)

Physical Requirements:

• Standing and sitting
• Ability to Remove and install Interior components
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
• Must have the ability to see details at close range
