Florida Beef, Inc. A growing food manufacturer located at 571 W. Kings Hwy Center Hill, FL 33514 has many employment opportunities for skilled Barn Technician. Multi-shifts are available with overtime and benefits. We have had great success with promoting employees and have many long service employees.

1st shift: Starts at 6:30 AM

Night shift: Starts at 6:00 PM

Job Summary:

The Barn Technician will have oversight of livestock at Florida Beef. This position will assist with managing the livestock such as assisting in the daily care of animals. Duties also include, mowing, grounds keeping, feeding, weekend and night checks, and pesticide spraying.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Feed and water livestock and monitor food and water supplies.
• Herd livestock to pastures for grazing or to scales, trucks, or other enclosures.
• Examine animals to detect illness, injury, or disease.
• Drive tractors, and other equipment.
• Inspect, maintain, and repair equipment, machinery, buildings, pens, yards, and fences.
• Move equipment or livestock from one location to another, manually or using trucks or carts.
• Clean stalls, pens, and equipment, using disinfectant solutions, brushes, shovels, water hoses, or pumps.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Knowledge of Cattle.
• Experience using farm machinery and equipment.
• Effective oral and writing skills.
• Supervisory ability.
• Ability to work cooperatively in a team effort is required.
• Initiative, resourcefulness, punctuality, and ability to work independently are essential.

Physical Requirements:

• Field research involves extended physical exertion.
• Exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $12.00 - $16.00 per hour
