As a Billing Clerk you will coordinate and performs business office activities involved with assisting in all clerical duties for the Billing Department and follows established procedures.
Main responsibilities include:
- Assisting Biller-Collectors and Billing Manager as requested.
- Requesting medical records from doctor’s office or hospital as needed
- Pulling attachments
- Creating, re-opening, and obtaining status of claims
- Posting payments in CPR+.
- Billing Insurance, co-insurance, deductibles and cash pay patients.
- Following up on outstanding open invoices.
- Assisting in submitting requests for new contracts.
- Liaison between Billing Department and 3rd parties.
- Copying and scanning checks and stamp for bank deposit.
- Answering and directing calls as appropriate.
- Sending, sorting and distribution of mail.
- Filing paperwork as needed.
- Interfaces with staff in other departments to gather information needed for accurate and complete billing.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Effective interpersonal, time management and organizational skills.
- Office experience preferred.
- Computer skills that include word processing, and efficient use of the internet and e-mail.
- Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to express technical issues in “layman” terms.
Education and/or Experience:
- Must have a High School diploma or Graduation Equivalent Diploma (G.E.D.)
- Proficiency in 10-key preferred.
- Prior experience in a pharmacy or home health company is of benefit.
- Prior experience in a consumer-related business is also of benefit.'

Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
