TriSource is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our client as a Third Party Billing Specialist on a temp to perm basis. The Third Party Billing Specialist will be responsible for submitting claims and invoices to third-party payers, ensuring that all required information is accurate and complete, and following up on outstanding claims and invoices. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as experience with medical billing and coding.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and submit claims and invoices to third-party payers, including insurance companies, government agencies, and other organizations.
• Ensure that all required information is accurate and complete, including patient demographic information, insurance policy details, and medical codes.
• Follow up on outstanding claims and invoices, including resubmitting claims and appealing denied claims as necessary.
• Maintain accurate records of all billing activities, including billing reports, payment records, and accounts receivable reports.
• Communicate with patients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers as needed to resolve billing issues and answer questions.
• Stay up-to-date on changes to billing codes, regulations, and procedures, and incorporate these changes into billing processes as appropriate.
• Participate in training and professional development opportunities as needed to maintain and improve billing skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or a related field preferred.
• At least 2 years of experience in medical billing and coding, preferably in a third-party billing position.
• Knowledge of medical billing and coding regulations and procedures, including CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 codes.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to explain billing issues to patients and insurance companies.
• Proficiency with billing software and Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
