This Bookkeeper position from RRH Associates is designed for a focused, organized, determined and team-oriented individual. Do you consider yourself knowledgeable in A/P, A/R and financial reporting? This Bookkeeper opportunity may be for you. Located in the Huntingtown, Maryland. RRH Associates specializes in residential and commercial construction; proud of its long-standing relationships with the Department of Defense (Andrews Air Force Base, Naval Academy, the Naval Bases at Patuxent River, Indian Head, Dahlgren, District of Columbia, and Quantico) and the National Aeronautical and Space Administration. As well as dedicated relationships with Calvert and Anne Arundel County Governments, including its Police and Fire Stations. • Be responsible for accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions
• Maintain quality historical records by filing documents
• Prepare financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information
• Manage and review general ledger
• Create Accounts Receivable invoices, analyzing payments received, and record deposits
• Oversee and maintain a well-run system to account for financial transactions
• Monitor accounts by balancing entries
• Contact Clients regarding accounts

• Timely record relevant financial information in financial ledgers.
• Ensuring all timely external payments, and record activity properly to the general ledger.
• Maintain and reconcile supplier accounts, invoice reconciliation
• Produce financial statements for owner
• Monitor cash flow.
• Producing progress/month end billings to customers.
• Maintain banking relationships and manage credit card activity and payments.
• Timely payment of taxes.
• Working with CPA to provide information for taxes or other requests in a timely manner.
• Inputting payroll activity into Quickbooks.
• Yearend compilation of information needed for workers compensation, health insurance, general insurance.
• Regular communication with owner regarding financial activity and status of accounts
• Work closely with customer service team for work scheduling and progress awareness
• Maintain relationship with insurance providers, i.e. company health, general, worker’s compensation and fleet.

Requirements

• Experience using accounting software
• BS Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration preferred
• Solid understanding of QuickBooks Pro
• Knowledge of Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Strong familiarity with Accounts Payable (AP)
• 1+ years of previous experience as a Bookkeeper
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Construction experience is a bonus!

Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour
