Position Summary:
As a Brand Designer at Earnin, you'll play a central role in defining and expanding the visual expression of the Earnin brand. You should be comfortable conceptualizing big campaigns with many moving parts, but also sweat the small things with meticulous attention to detail as you bring exciting ideas to life.
This is a remote position.
What You'll Do:
- Partner with creative directors, marketers and designers to conceptualize and develop groundbreaking creative
- Own the creation of design assets for various brand touchpoints including advertising, social media, lifecycle marketing, internal communications and more
- Develop preliminary concepts into refined, comprehensive design solutions
- Faithfully follow our brand guidelines and ensure others at Earnin do the same
- Work to define parts of the Earnin brand as it grows and matures over time
- Co-create with designers, copywriters, marketers and product managers
- Work independently without heavy creative oversight
- Pitch ideas (written, verbally, and visually) to peers and seniors
- Support marketing team members and product marketing managers to complete projects, exhibiting strong time management skills and understanding of internal processes
What We're Looking For:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Design, Visual Communications, or a similar area of study.
- 5+ years in visual or brand design, preferably in-house (or a mix of in-house and agency)
- UI design experience; experience designing visual design assets for apps/digital products
- A portfolio showcasing high-quality creative expertise across a variety of mediums and channels within branding, advertising campaigns, social media, product, corporate comms, etc.
- Experience creating libraries of vector illustrations
- Demonstrated ability to take on multiple projects concurrently, and adapt to changing schedules and priorities
- Use of principles and tools across the end-to-end design process, including the Adobe suite and Figma
- A user-centered design mindset
- Being a humble, quick learner who's comfortable with change
Nice To Have:
- Motion design experience
- Very strong illustration skills specific to product design
- Design systems experience
- Experience working with other companies in fintech, or the financial services industry
