• Field Inspection and preparation.

• Organize and enter inspector’s notes into the Bridge Management System (BMS).
• Prepare reports for submission.
• Individual will be required to take and convert measurements.
• Other duties may be assigned, but not limited to:
  • Create folders for different districts.
  • Keep track of inspection files for different projects.
  • Communication with sub-consultants on related tasks.
  • Basic office duties.
  • Maintaining file folder for different inspection project.
• Willingness to take and pass NHI 130055 Safety Inspection In-Service Bridges, after 5 years of experience.

• 
  High school diploma or GED
• Minimum (Basic knowledge of computers and typing).
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook).

• 
  5 years of documentable bridge inspection experience
• NHI certification in the Inspection of Fracture Critical Bridges
• Knowledge of Adobe, Paint.net, Print Station, Better jpeg, and Google Maps.
• Knowledge of SCDOT BIO, Project Wise, Blue Beam and Goggle Earth.

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
• The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, talk or hear, and drive a bucket truck or a pickup truck. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include ability to adjust focus.
