Newport News Nuclear BWXT Los Alamos (N3B) manages the 10-year, $1.6 billion Los Alamos Legacy Cleanup Contract for the U.S. Department of Energy, Office of Environmental Management, Los Alamos Field Office.

N3B is a limited liability company owned by HII Nuclear Inc. and BWX Technologies, joined by our critical subcontractors Longenecker and Associates and Tech2 Solutions.

N3B brings operational discipline, proven approaches and predictable results to the Los Alamos Legacy Cleanup Contract.

Position Location:

This position is located in Los Alamos, New Mexico.

Position Summary:

The Business Administration Professional will provide support to ER’s Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) program and project personnel. Efforts include in office, administrative support to the Technical Area 21, Aggregate Area/Contaminated Soils, and Material Disposal Sites project teams within the RCRA program. The successful candidate will work with limited supervision/day to day direction. They are self-motivated and create an environment, which fosters teamwork.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities (may include, but are not limited to):

  • The successful candidate is organized and detail oriented to provide accurate status and information to Environmental Remediation (ER) Program personnel.
  • Work with other organizations within N3B to ensure the execution of the ER Program’s business activities, obtain answers to any questions, and coordinate resolution of any issues.
  • Prepare data and information into presentational material for the client and senior management.
  • Positive and professional demeanor
  • Proficient in MS Office to include MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • At least 10 years of relevant experience.


Represents the organization as the prime technical contact on contracts and projects. Interacts with senior external personnel on significant technical matters often requiring coordination between organizations.


Work is performed without appreciable direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining technical objectives of assignment. Completed work is reviewed from a relatively long- term perspective, for desired results. Guides the successful completion of major programs and may function in a project leadership role. Errors in judgement or failure to achieve results would result in the expenditure of large amounts of company resources.


Business Associations:

Represents organization as a prime contact on contracts or projects. Interacts with senior internal and external personnel on significant matters often requiring coordination between organizations.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:

Normally assigned to perform work in an office environment. Only electrical hazards and other minor potential hazards normally found in an office environment are anticipated. Job performance requires adequate visual acuity and manual dexterity for meeting the requirements of the discipline. Office work environment.
